At Clyde Beds & Mattresses, we aim to make your shopping experience smooth, transparent, and reliable. Every order is handled by our own professional delivery team using our dedicated Clyde Beds vans — we do not use any third-party couriers. This ensures that your items are delivered safely, on time, and with care.
1. Order Processing
Once your order has been placed, our team begins preparing your items for dispatch. The processing time depends on the product type and stock availability:
- Most orders are processed within 1 to 3 business days.
- Some in-stock or smaller items may be processed and dispatched within 1 business day.
- If an item requires additional preparation or customization, we will contact you with an updated timeframe.
Processing times do not include weekends or public holidays. You will receive a confirmation email once your order has been processed and is ready for delivery scheduling.
2. Delivery Timeframes
After your order has been processed and dispatched, our in-house delivery team will contact you to arrange a suitable delivery date and time. We aim to deliver all orders within 1 business day after dispatch in eligible delivery zones.
During peak seasons or due to unexpected delays (such as severe weather or access restrictions), delivery may take slightly longer. However, our team will keep you informed at every step.
3. Delivery Coverage Area
We currently deliver within a 70-mile radius of our main warehouse in Glasgow. This coverage allows us to ensure fast and reliable delivery by our own staff and vehicles.
If your address falls outside this area, please contact us before placing an order. We may be able to make special arrangements depending on your location and order size.
4. Delivery Costs
We charge a simple, flat-rate delivery fee of £20 GBP for all eligible deliveries within our 70-mile service radius. This fee covers professional handling, secure transport, and placement at your property.
For orders outside the delivery zone or requiring special handling (for example, oversized furniture or multi-item orders), additional charges may apply. Our team will notify you before confirming your order.
5. Tracking & Delivery Updates
Because all deliveries are handled directly by our own drivers, traditional parcel tracking links are not used. Instead, we provide personal updates and direct communication to keep you informed.
- Once your order is scheduled, you will receive an email or phone confirmation with your expected delivery date and time window.
- Our delivery team may contact you on the day of delivery to confirm arrival time or access details.
- If you need to reschedule, please notify us at least 24 hours in advance.
6. Missed or Delayed Deliveries
If you are not available at the agreed delivery time, our driver will leave a delivery attempt notice and contact you to rearrange. A re-delivery fee may apply if multiple attempts are required.
We take full responsibility for delivering on the agreed day, except where delays are caused by events beyond our control (for example, road closures, severe weather, or incorrect delivery information).
7. Delivery Handling & Care
All items are transported and handled by our trained delivery staff to ensure safe arrival. Please inspect your items upon delivery and notify the driver immediately if there is any visible damage or concern. You may also contact us directly at contact@clydebeds.co.uk to report an issue.
8. Pickup Option
You are welcome to collect your order directly from our warehouse if you prefer. Please contact us in advance to confirm that your item is ready for pickup and to arrange a convenient time.

9. Shipping Restrictions
We currently deliver only within the United Kingdom and primarily within our 70-mile service area. We do not ship internationally or to P.O. boxes. Delivery is limited to accessible ground-level locations unless otherwise arranged in advance.
